Neil Tjin, one of the automotive industries most influential designers, has been involved in the automotive aftermarket for over 14 years. Tjin has always been a strong passionate individual, especially when it comes to cars and the manufacturers that he works with. He has always been one to think outside the box and to go against the grain. Over the years Tjin and his talented staff have been responsible for designing and building more than sixty high profile vehicles showcasing their creative talents on various Ford, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Nissan, Infiniti, Honda, Acura, Scion, and Volvo platform vehicles, as well as teaming up with prominent OEM for projects on several occasions. “I am excited to bring my years of experience within the automotive industry to such amazing brands as Vortech, Paxton and Lysholm. From the first time I got behind the wheel of a Vortech supercharged vehicle (a 2004 Infiniti G35) I was sold. Since then I have been fortunate enough to own and assist on the builds of several Vortech, Paxton and Lysholm supercharged vehicles. The sky is the limit for these amazing supercharged brands, and I look forward to being part of a talented and passionate team!”

Please aid us in welcoming Neil to the team, as his addition to Lysholm will undoubtedly help bring the brand to new levels in 2012 and beyond!

Lysholm Twin-Screw Superchargers At The SEMA Show 2011…

Another successful year for Lysholm and The Air Power Group, as evidenced by the fact that you couldn’t walk anywhere in the show without seeing a Vortech, Paxton, or Lysholm logo staring you right in the face! Take a look at some of the photos we got of the show, and be sure to send us any of your own!

The Air Power Group Booth – featuring some of the sickest cars at SEMA!

The DSO Eyewear Gen. 5 Camaro SS Convertible was sleek, silver, decked out and looking good…even more so due to the 2.3L Lysholm Twin-Screw Supercharging system under the hood.

We found the Stitch Craft Camaro SS Convertible in North Hall, sitting pretty in the Pecca Leather booth. Custom paint – check. Custom interior – Check. Wheels, Tires, and Brakes – Check. Lysholm 2.3L Twin-Screw Supercharging System under the hood – Check.

Walking around the show, we found this Weistec Engineering Supercharged 6.3L Mercedes Benz on a dyno display. Weistec uses the 2.3L Lysholm Twin-Screw Superchargers in the outstanding systems they offer for Mercedes vehicles. Be sure to check them out.

The Delta Tech Bold Spirit Camaro SS was on display in the Delta Lights booth. It was one of the many Lysholm 2.3L Twin-screw Supercharged Gen. 5 Camaros on the property this year showing the other guys how it is done.

Our friend Gary S’s Lysholm Twin-Screw Supercharged Camaro SS was looking sharp in the Wössner booth. This Gen. 5 beast is always gleaming white and ready to show off it’s Lysholm Twin-Screw Supercharging system lurking under the hood.

This feature car Challenger was sporting an SMS Supercharging System under the hood, which utilizes a 2.3L Lysholm Twin-Screw Supercharger for its boost.

R.M.C.R. Performance + Lysholm Boosted Camaro SS + Cam & Custom Tune = 621/622 At The Wheels!

The rockstars at Rocky Mountain Competitive Research are at it again. This time, they took their customer Dustin’s Lysholm Supercharged Camaro SS and cranked it up to an amazingly impressive 621 rear wheel horsepower and 622 rear wheel torque!

This same Lysholm 2.3L Twin-Screw Supercharged Camaro that drew lots of attention in the Vortech/Lysholm/R.M.C.R. booth at Camaro5Fest II, is now breathing a lot more fire thanks to the addition of an R.M.C.R. Custom Grind Camshaft, 3.00″ Supercharger Pulley, ARH 1 7/8″ Long Tube Headers, a Borla Attak Exhaust, and custom tuning from R.M.C.R.Already happy with the performance of his S/C’d SS, now Dustin is ecstatic about his new and improved beast. “This car is a whole different animal now!”

Want to transform your new SS into a street bruiser or a sinister sleeper? Maybe it’s time to give Lysholm Twin-Screw Superchargers a try.

Lysholm, Vortech, and R.M.C.R. Hit Firebird Raceway For Camaro5Fest II…

Vortech ventured out to Firebird International Raceway in Arizona for the 2nd Annual gathering of 5th generation Camaros, dubbed Camaro5Fest II. Joining forces with Rocky Mountain Competitive Research, our Top Tier Dealer/Installer from Colorado Springs, CO, we hit the track in good spirits ready for a good time…and the C5 crew did not disappoint!

.

RMCR put together this sick Vortech Centrifugal System on a display engine to really give the crowd a good look at what the kit looks like up close & personal. It helped to show how the Vortech intercooler is over twice the size of what the competitors use.
R.M.C.R. customer Dustin had his Lysholm Twin-Screw Supercharging System installed just in time for Camaro5Fest. He couldn’t stop talking about how happy he was with his choice. The Lysholm System is a great choice for all gen. 5 Camaro owners who want to go the positive displacement route!.The 530rwhp and 516rwtq this 2.3L Twin-Screw Supercharger made on an otherwise virtually stock Camaro SS puts many of the other competitor’s offerings out there to shame!Gary Shellum, or 1RADCAMARO on Camaro5, had his gorgeous Lysholm Twin-Screw Supercharged SS Camaro all over the show! We saw it on the track, on display, in the Air Lift booth, in the US Wheels booth, and all over the place! Thanks for coming out and representing Gary!.
.
This stock looking SS is what you would call a SLEEPER. While unassuming on the outside, this beast sports an R.M.C.R. built LSX 427 engine with Callies internals, Diamond Pistons, cnc ported heads, custom camshaft, FAST 102mm intake manifold, Nick Williams 102mm throttle body, Katech carbon valve covers, Stainless Works 2″ Headers and 3″ exhaust, Fore Precision triple 255lph pump setup, BMR subframes, sway bars, trailing arms, toe rods, strut tower brace, KW coilovers, AP Racing J-hook brake rotors, a DSS 9″ rearend conversion with Moser aluminum center section, and to top it all off…a cog-driven Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharging System. Although the guys from R.M.C.R. didn’t quite finish tuning it before they had to leave for the event, it still wore a dyno sheet showing it put down over 919rwhp through its heavy duty 9″ rear end. That’s nearly 1,100 horsepower at the crank! Also in the sleeper department, this 700+ horsepower Tahoe was in the Vortech/R.M.C.R booth showing more of what the R.M.C.R. guys do best – make things really fast! Sporting a built engine and a Vortech V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger and Air-to-Water Power Cooler, the owner claims he built it to destroy Porsche Cayenne Turbos. When asked how this unassuming silver SUV does in that endeavor, he simply replied “It works!”.The famous Guillermo Garcia, or Tribone as he is known as on Camaro5, brought out his Vortech V-3 Supercharged black beauty, and had it displayed prominently in the US Wheels booth. Running himself ragged as one of the event organizers, we saw him hurriedly speeding here and there throughout the entire event. Hope you had some time to relax once it was all over, G!Dave Christensen (d69chris) and his customized Inferno Orange Metallic SS took full advantage of the show. When he wasn’t racing the car on the track, Dave was showing off his V-3 Si-Trim Supercharged ride in the SoCal section of the car show area. We hear Dave also won the prize for “best exterior”. Great job Dave, but you know us…we are usually more partial to what you’ve got under the hood..
.
We found Andrew M’s (shevyman) Vortech Supercharged Hot Wheels Camaro sittin’ low in the Air Lift Booth. From the looks of it, he hadn’t anticipated us asking to lift the hood for photos. C’mon Andrew…it’s a CAR SHOW. You can’t just clean the outside of your car! Here are some other great pictures from the event for you to enjoy.
Although not Supercharged, this tribute Camaro was definitely worth checking out. Not only does it honor our country, but the amount of hours in airbrushing alone this must have taken is truly amazing!

Thank you to Camaro5, R.M.C.R., Tribone, d69chris, 1RADCAMARO, shevyman, Mike, Mark, Zack, Keith, Don, Colin, Dustin, and everyone else in attendance. We’ll see you next year!
